EDF online V5

I decided to consult the price comparison programmes recommended on this site, and find that I should be able to save a lot if I switch to EDF Online V5.
I am therefore very interested.
But there is no indication of what the Online V5 tariff requires. Do I have to download some kind of software ? or report my meter readings over the internet ? or what ?
According to the EDF website the savings I can make are about half of what is shown on the comparison sites, but, unless I've missed it, there is no mention of the online V5 on their website.
So I called EDF and asked them to explain the EDF online V5. They said they did not know anything about the online tariffs and that they are only shown on their website.
So now I'm stuck. I am of course dubious about applying for a tariff about which I have no knowledge.
Anyone know what this is all about ??
Thanks
Ted

EDF's online tariff is only available through comparison websites. EDF do not directly offer this tariff, so that is why you got no-where with their website or by phone. The one on the website is their more expensive standard tariff, which is why the saving is less.
No, there isn't any requirement to get the online tariff, other than using the comparison site to switch. No software to download, although you can submit your meter readings online to prevent estimated bills. Normally every few months someone comes to read our meter anyway.0
