Just clicked on my detailed seller ratings and all the low stars have been removed :T

You received multiple low detailed seller ratings or claims from a small number of buyers, which is inconsistent with your excellent performance on eBay. We have excluded these ratings from consideration in your performance evaluation."

Amazing! I'm now fidgetting for my next evaluation to see if I lose my 3 inexplicable low stars from January.0 -
This would be great if it were true for everyone.......... I have 100% +fb with glowing comments but apparently 5 low star ratings. Will have to wait till 20/10 I guess.0

I have the same issue vintagebrighton and have been limited to posting only 4 items a month. Such a shame, as I've always thought my dispatch times have been good.0

So what exactly is the point of a feedback rating, if it can be 'fixed' to suit ebay???
eg, if i sell 1000 items at £1, post them on time, etc etc and occasionly scam a buyer for £1000, does this mean ebay will remove all reference to it???0 -

I recently had 3 low stars left (would have been 4 I reckon but it was free postage!) but no neutral or negative feddback to go with it. I phoned ebay CS and they could see 'a certain feedback' was in breach of their conditions so they removed it along with the low stars. They couldn't tell me who it was unfortnately but did say it warranted them informing Trust and Safety about it so I reckon it was possibly left maliciously.0 -
I had this for a couple of months and then last month it reverted, not sure why that happened as they were the same low stars, I hadn't received any more..0

I rushed to take a look, but i only have 2 low stars showing at the moment and both of them are almost a year old so about to fall off the ratings anyway.
If this is something that will be rolled out in cases where it seems obvious the rating was maliciious then it seems like a very good step for ebay. However I suspect the community boards will be full of sellers moaning that their ratings haven't been removed even though they were ill and forgot to post items for a week- or because they sold something that was misdescribed but th ebuyer wouldn't accept an apology- etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. We don't know. Give it a shot and let us have the result.0 -

And by corollary a low star left with an otherwise positive rating (since the item arrived and was OK but it took ages for the seller to even send it, like in a recent case I had) will be removed as "inconsistent"."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Ebay do state that they seek out and remove low DSR's that are left with positive feedback - but i've never heard of them actually doing it.
One of mine from 7 months ago disapeared - but i think maybe the person who left it was thrown off.0
