Most effective electric heating for single room

I have gas central heating. I was made redundant earlier this year, but I work voluntarily for a charity at home. We have invested in solar panels so I want to use that to save as much as possible. I work sitting in my office all day but I am finding I get very cold. I can't afford to put the whole central heating system on just for the one room. What sort of electric heater will be most effective and yet cost efficient too?

All electric heaters are 100% efficient.
A small fan heater, or convector with a thermostat would do.
Or turn the radiators off in the rooms you are not using. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
