PPI Claim - No paperwork

Hi there,

This is my first thread so please be kind :rotfl:lol Here is my thing : I think i am entitled to reclaim PPI from a credit card I had a few years but I cannot find the account number or any paperwork for this particular card. I shred basically everything and didnt think to keep it. What I want to know is that can I still contact this company through letter with previous addresses etc and still request my terms and conditions and everything else that goes along with it. Im so confused  please please please someone help me. I dont want to go to one of these companies :money:

    Hi and welcome

I would most certainly give it a shot, you can write to them a letter of reclaim/complaint in your own words, or complete and send a reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, remember to keep a copy as well.

How long ago would you say you had this card?

If within the last 6 years, they will still hold details, if the account was with a bank you could contact them for the account number, but otherwise give it your best shot by giving them as many details as possible, good luck.

I would recommend contacting them first to ask for your account number - simply because that will make it easier to chase them when you've made your complaint. Give them your full name, date of birth and the address you lived at when you had the card.

Letters and forms sent without account numbers are notoriously hard to track down, they have a habit of ending up in "unable to trace" piles for some time so when you call nobody can find your letter.
