Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy a lead paint test kit? I tried B&Q and they said they could order me some in but it would take a month?!?
Google isn't even helping the only ones to buy online seem to be shipped from the US which will take just as long as B&Q!?!?
Or should I just stop worrying and get sanding?!?
Cheers

All B&Q's sell them, have you got another near by they were just probably out of stock.
If not the tinterweb would be easiest option or small hardware shop0 -
Obviously, it would make sense to take steps to minimise the amount of dust you (or anyone else) ingest or inhale but unless you are a child or pregnant the lead in lead paint shouldn't do you much harm.0

I understood that the potential damage of lead paint was much more serious and that sanding of lead paint should only be done wet with wet and dry paper.
I didn't know that a test kit was available for lead paint, I shall get one of these myself as our stairs may well have been painted pre-1960's.0
