Funding

As I understand it, on a three year degree course you are entitled to three years funding plus 1 year.

Having had one quit(few weeks into course) with no fees/loans yet paid into bank account by Student Finance(obviously they have now been informed of student's withdraw)if they were to enrol on a different course next year what would their entitlement then be- 2 years plus 1 or 3 years plus 1?

It will be the length of the new course, plus one year, minus one year due to the few weeks attendance this year.

So even as no funding received it will still count as a year!! Am I also correct in believing that should a place be taken next year and should Student Finance be applied for; that (for a three year course) the first year will not be funded, just the subsequent second and third years (with a 'reserve' year held)?

Even though no funding was received, it counts as entitlement is based on attendance.

For a new 3 year course he will get full support, however if he repeats any years he will be restricted to a maintenance loan only, unless there are good reasons for his repeat.
