Ge Money

Hi, Im new to all this!!!

I had a loan with Ge money and basically the term of the ppi did not cover the loan term. It only covered the 1st year, it was a 5 year loan!!. I was not made aware of this when taking on the loan and when questions they said that it was in the t&c's of the loan. The forms apparently were sent separate but alas they never arrived.

I do not have any details for Ge Money as I have now cleared the loan.

Any suggestions of what to do next. I spoke to a company today who basically said that Ge Money do not do refunds?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Mark

    Hi Mark

Santander from what I know of deal with GE complaints now, so maybe you should then pursue them, but make them aware the complaint is about GE Money.

You can write a letter in your own words, or complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below.

Details of Santander below and who to send to, remember to keep a copy as well and post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting, good luck.

Ge capital ie the store cards and that side of things wasd sold to santander, but the loans book still stands as far as i am aware. I have a claim going to the fos about them now.
they will say it wasn't us it was a broker bla bla bla, they will also say you ca't go to the FOS, but as long as the underwriters of the insurance were in the GISC, even if ge money weren't covered the fos can look at it.

Seen a few threads where one underwriter in particular is being pursued by the FOS and if one claim gets through they can the push more through.

GE aren't the easiest to get cash out of so do any claims that were with the other banks first then give it a go.

With mine if the FOS fail I a considering court action as i really don't see why one company should get away with fobbing people off.

    Good Luck

Thank you for the replys. I spoke to GE money today, and they have logged my call and put details of my complaint on the system. I was quite surprised how helpful they were to be honest!! hopefully its not a false sense! I managed to obtain all details of my loan from them.

In a way it made me quite sad with realising the amount that I and my wife have struggled to pay them over the years and we were both quite emotional on the realisation that we may actually get something back for the years of hard work that we both put in struggling to pay the loan in the 1st place.

Im so glad that I found this website and forum:j:j:j:j
