moving house and want to swop over light fittings, so .. what would I pay to have 7 light fittings removed at current home, then refitted at new home. the old one will have already been removed, and the homes are about 20 mins drive apart in distance. I t doesnt require any extra wiring.

I normally allow an hour per light whether to take down and fit a basic pendant (you ARE leaving the new owners with some form of lights aren't you?) and then an hour to test for earthing at the new lighting points and install a new light.

Just phone around a few sparks and get some hourly/daily rates. Not sure where you are, but I'm in London at £50 hour no VAT if this helps. I would supply the pendants as part of this price

Who is packaging them up and transporting them? This may affect cost

We own both houses and renting one out, so we are swopping them over. The electrician I am hoping will be amenable to transporting them as part of the job. not found anyone yet, its in Scotland btw.
    Thanks.

a sparky will charge you a min of 200/300 quid.
a handyman could do it for approx half that price.
    Get some gorm.

yes but I doubt it the handyperson would be able to test that the new lighting points were properly earthed. If you have any metal light fittings then this is essential
