HPI returns with Financial agreement existing Advise needed!
Options
Hi, I saw a 2nd hand car at Ford Dealership. we agreed on a £150 down payment I was also advise the the Dealership will provide me with a HPI Check.
this was last week. however I was not giving the HPI report until I demanded I see it before I pay for the Car this happened this evening.
The Dealership Manager advised that I will see Financial loan recorded against the Car but it was not important as it is part of his dealership "Unit Stocking"
I called the Financial Company on the HPI and they informed me that they had "Interest" in this Vehicle.
I'm a bit worried about getting myself in a mess if I pay the full agreed amount on the Car, then finding out that there's outstanding finance.
Has anyone experienced such a situation before? can you please advise?

The dealer should settle the finance when you pay for the car.
How much is left and whats the price your paying?
If its a Ford Dealership then I doubt they would be stupid enough to sell a car with outstanding finance on and not settle once they sold it!
Am sure the invoice will state that no finiance will be owing on the car you buy, if its not then make sure they write it on there."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0
