Applied for Santander CC - still waiting!

I applied 10 days ago online for a Santander credit card with 17 months 0% interest. At the end of the application process I was quoted an application reference number.
I have not heard anything since applying, not even an e-mail acknowledgement which I find quite strange.
Does anyone know how long it takes for Santander to decide if my application is successful or not? Am I supposed to phone them or should I wait another week?
I do have an online Santander bank account which my salary is paid into and I also have a mortgage with them.

normally you would here soon, i was rejected from santander i recieved a letter approx 14 days after i submitted my application saying i was rejected but never given a reason. but if not heard nothing in a week i would suggest ringing customer services.

Thanks, I'll just have to be patient!
I know last time I applied for a cc online I had an e-mail response within 24 hours and the paperwork arrived within the week.

Did you ever get a response? I applied a week ago and have only had a reference number, no search has appeared on my credit report either (although I don't know how long these things take to appear)
