We are currently in the process of buying a house and our conveyancer is useless
They have been utterly incompetent and have given us false information and delayed our move week in week out. Our mortgage advisor has taken over trying to tackle them as the stress is unbearable
Too much detail to go into here, but does anyone know how I can make a complaint about the solicitor? Is there a governing body for solicitors?
I have found them listed on https://www.solicitorsfromhell.co.uk, which doesn't bode well
When we bought the house, Halifax, the estate agent dealing with the sale, put us in touch with this solicitor. It was the biggest mistake we ever made. Is it worth complaining to Halifax?
I don't want to complain officially until we complete as we have been told that if you make a fuss, solicitors put you to the bottom of the pile and delay things even further.
