Times Destinations Holiday Show - anyone been before?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has been to the Times Destinations show before. Can you book holidays there and then at the show? Do they offer good 'show only' deals?

Reason I ask is because I am plannig on going to Canada this summer. Part of me says book it all now while flights are cheap etc etc. The other part of me says wait till the show which is in March as I may get a good 'Show Only' deal .... but if that not likely to be the case, then I dont want to to end up paying more afterwards!!

Anyone know from past experience?

    Went last year to Birmingham.

No deals at all really, just lots of TA's with their brochures.

Freebies were pens, sweets etc but no mega show only bargains

Possibly a good place to go to give you ideas about places to go off the beaten track.

Can't imagine why people actually pay to get into this!

I have some free tickets if you need them for either London or Birmingham

    I agree.
Whilst it's interesting to get info, disappointing that no special deals on offer.
I would book your flights now.

Travel Companies staff hate working Destinations! Full of 'brochure collectors', people spending two hours sharing their stories, and hour long quotes that people don't come back to you to book! And it's damned expensive to have a stand.

Whatever you do, avoid the Saturdays, just horrible. The Thursday & Friday are really nice, pleasant, the staff will all be refreshed and have more time to spend with you.
