Worcestershire/west midlands... Anyone want to sell some land???

Hi all,

I'm trying to buy a plot of land to build my first self build house on (for my self and my partner). If anyone know of someone that would like to sell abit of their large garden or farm land and see I we can get planning permission on it please drop me and email and we'll do the hard work.

PS This is not a commercial venture, we are purely trying to get on the property land and ustilise some of the skill available to us.

This is not directly related to your query but out of interest how much does it cost to build a house? I imagine you know the right people can can get it more cheaply.

I say this because my brother lives in Worcester and have thought about buying a house in the malverns but house prices are so high it might even be worth him having one built instead.

Depending upon your skills and contacts and how much work you want to put in yourself, for a 4 bedroom detached house the actual build (not including land) can cost from £40,000 to 150,000+

I know of a builder that was putting up 3 bed houses with a woodenframe kit costing just £15k!!! (plus bricks, interiors, etc...).... Bargain!!!

It's the land that is the problem especially in this area as the government are *******s (you choose the word) and have frozen planning permission in most areas... I love the 'I'm alright Jack' approach they have to houses...!!!
