Car Insurance confused.com

Received Martin's e-mail yesterday that mentioned 2 sites for car insurance renewals. What an eye opener.

Entered our details, took about 5 minutes and the results were amazing. The cheapest quote was £200 less than last years and the most expensive only marginally more expensive than we paid before. We had rung round for quotes.

Definitely use this site for our renewal next month.

Thank you yet again Martin.

  • I agree - confused.com's best quote has saved me about £130 on my expiring insurer - but I wonder whether they have passed my details on - as the next best quotation - KwikFit have phoned me twice in the last week, including today - Bank Holiday Monday.

Next time instead of hanging up I'll ask where they got my name and number - seems too much of a coincidence to me with renewal 7 days away...

(Yes ... I did tick/untick all the right boxes!!)

    Hi,

Its just quoted me £75 less than my renewal notice with the same company.
Gives me some ammo to beat the price down with them tomorrow!

    Thanks for the link!

I obtained a quote last year, for car insurance in my name, which was competitive. The phone operator then suggested adding my wife"s name and Hey Presto, it was even cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used confused.com last week to see how much i'd be looking at to renew in June. Admiral came out the cheapest at 520 odd so i looked at Elephant.co.uk who quoted £497, even though elephant is part of Admiral

I also used confused.com and now pay £10 less per month. Strangely, this is with Churchill....the same company I was with before.

I have also had a quote from Confused.com and Kwik-Fit did not or rather were not able to quote, low and behold two later I get a call from Kwik-Fit!! They mentioned I had used a search engine for the quote and that they were calling to see if they could in fact quote?? They did quote but it was £50 dearer than my best price, but still better than my renewal.

I my experience if this gap was smaller then they normally bring down the price to match!

    Hope this helps.
