How do I stop these, I think they are rather annoying, I do not need to know every time someone replies to a thread that I have commented on.GRR

Click ----> Edit Options
Then change the default thread subscription mode to "Do not subscribe" or "No email notification"
You will still get notifications for threads you have replied on prior to that change, so with those you will need to change the subscription types (or delete) in your subscribed threads list.

I did that 2 days ago.I will leave it for this week perhaps it will stop when I stop postings. Thanks for your help.
The reason for that is probably the threads that you automatically subscribed to before you changed the settings.
As said, you can delete them manually from here:
---> Subscribed threads
but that is a pain if there are a lot.
The other option is to request that one of the MSE official board admins clears all your subscriptions via their AdminCP. They can remove them all in one go with little hassle.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
