changing tyre size

On my pick-up, I have 205/75/14 tyres. I am looking to fit winter tyres, what size canI change too? (was thinking 195/70/14 but open to suggestions)

34mm difference.... Thats quite a lot and will put the speedo out.

If you get narrower tyres you need to increase the aspect ratio.

A 195/80 x 14 would be a close match. Only 5mm out.

Again, seems to bea hard size to find in winter tyres. Not too bothered about the speedo being out, so apart from the speedo, will it cause many other problems ?

hmm vredsten do a 195/80 r14 winter tyres but its a commercial one for vans.
you can get 185/80 r14 wich is alot closer match in fact you speedo would just read 1.7% to much. not sure about putting a 185 on a 205 rim dont know if that has an effect.

I wouldn't worry about it. The difference on the speedo will be hardly noticeable.

I go from 225/55/17 to 205/16/65 on my van in the winter.
