Hi everybody!
I am currently going through the motions of reclaiming my bank charges from HSBC. The 14 day deadline for the second letter is up tomorrow and i was all prepared to file my online claim first thing monday morning. However on Wednesday i recieved a polite letter from their customer services team, informing me that my claim was being investigated and i would hear from them as soon as their investigations have finished.
Is this a general procedure with HSBC? What is my best course of action now, i.e allow them more time or stick to my plan and file the claim on Monday? Any advice would be very much appreciated!!!!
Oliver.

I'll move this into the HSBC thread as I think you'll find this is a standard reply from HSBC and you should carry on with your timescale.0

They are a big company, and you are giving them enough time to deal with your claim in your letter. Stick to your own timetable, not theirs. File the claim on Monday. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
