Egg credit card reclaiming ppi

I had a credit card with egg which was taken out in the year 2000, i have tried to reclaim the ppi and have my claim turned down.

I cant remeber ticking any box and think the box might have been pre ticked. I was in a job that paid me 6 months full and 6 months half pay, so im not sure if they would have paid out anyway.

Any help would be great.

You could try writing back (even if issued with a final decision) and ask them to reconsider, if you have any further information to add, and make them aware it was pre-ticked if that applies to you.

No harm in asking them to reconsider, but meanwhile, hopefully someone who have dealt with them will post up with some useful advice for you, good luck.

Keep trying with them I took mine out in 2004 and have today just got £3116 so dont let them fob you off. good luck

thanks i got the letter saying no within 10 days time to phone them again.

Phoned again they say they cant reopen if final letter has been sent out so time to write to the FO.
