Gladstone Brookes won't discuss final response letter

Hi
First of all, I know I could have claimed myself, but for many reason I decided to use Gladstone Brookes.
Anyway, my claim against Yorkshire Bank has been ongoing for 11 weeks now. Each month Yorkshire Bank write to me and say sorry we haven't sorted it yet, we'll be in touch within four weeks.
Today I rang Gladstone Brookes who chased Yorkshire Bank and called me back with an update. Gladstone Brookes say my final response letter is in the post and should be with me tomorrow. I asked if she knew what the response was, she said yes but they don't discuss it until I've recieved the letter from the bank. Is this common practice? It sounded ominous to me...
Any ideas?
Thanks
Natalie

No, she said she knew but would rather wait till I get the letter. Tempted to phone them back but its such a long wait in the queue and my kids are so grumpy today, don't know if they can be quiet that long lol0

I work for a Claims Company charging for the service we provide. If a client called me asking about a letter or the information supplied on a letter which was in the post to yourself. I would tell you what it was going to be about with the best knowledge I had. The final response will either be an Offer of refund, or a notification that their was no PPI policy. Or it will be letting you know that they are declining the claims but to take them to FOS if you want to pursue it further.
The claims handler you have spoken to should have provided you with the information they have on you and on your claims providing that you confirmed Data protection etc with her.
