We are landing at Glasgow at 02:40am. We then have a 3hour drive back home so are considering booking a hotel.
Can you check in that time? Which day/night do we book it for ie the Saturday or the Sunday (when landing 02.40 sunday am)?
Has anyone done this?
If we can find a hotel with a checkout for 12 then it would be worth it.

any hotel which advertises 24-hour reception will allow you to do this, and most hotels in this country have a standard check-out time of 11am, so you'd still get a decent sleep.
Premier Inn and Travelodge, I know from experience, will let you check in at that time of the morning. I'd imagine the normal airport chains like Holiday Inn Express, Ibis etc would be the same.
you would book for the Saturday night (as thats whats going to give you the check-out date of Sunday morning).0 -

I usually phone the hotel once I've booked a room if I know I'm going to be checking in after midnight, just to let them know we will be checking in.0
