Childrens Shoes

Options
Hi

Does anyone know of charities which send used childrens shoes to the developing world. I am having a clear out and have lots of pairs with just superficial scuff marks etc and I don't want to throw them out.

Thanks

  • Does your local Tesco/Sainsburys have the recycling bins in the car park? Our local ones have some for clothes and shoes which are sent to charity. hth.xx

Some shoe shops and shoe repairers have bins (well it is a binbag holder rather than a solid bin) where you can deposit shoes in any condition which are sent to the third world. Shoes in a poor state of repair are then taken apart and the best bits reused. Presumably good shoes find new homes /are sold on.

  • Clarks Shoe shops used to have bins for old shoes to be sent on to Africa. Don't know whether they still do.

I often give mine to friends who have younger children, or a similar age. Mine have big feet!
