    Its an electric toothbrush - most likely a philips sonicare I suspect the OP is talking about.

    The OP's chances are much greater if they go to a branch they know that doesnt have stock - for me, I would expect a gift card refund - not cash, expecially if the original purchaser used a card.

    The OP can't use the 'Ive bought one elsewhere' line so I want a refund, on the grounds that it was the OP's choice to buy another from a different retailer.

    I expect gift card refund will be the route chosen by Argos.
