We have several family videos that we would like to transfer to DVD.
We would also like to make a DVD from various videos for a family member as a momento of a family ocassion.
We have a DVD player but it doesn't record. We don't have a VHS anymore.
Is the best way to do this to purchase a DVD recorder and VHS combi please?
If this is the case does it matter if we don't go for a hitech spec one?

I'd have a look on e-bay or somewhere and try and pick up a cheap 2ns hand basic VHS player or recorder. Then use this:

It's very simple and straight forward to use and then when the videos on on your PC hard drive then you can edit them.0 -
I would borrow someones VHS player.Jumble sale near me sells video players for £10,all checked and working.
I wouldnt buy a VHS/DVD combi. I always think there is more to go wrong with these combi's0
