The old folks have acquired an age concern JUMBO remote control (bit of a gimmick but also good for the eyes). The trouble is they have a cheap technika TV from tesco and the manual doesnt contain a code for TVs. I've tried the auto search etc but cant get it going.
Anybody manged to get one of these working with this make.

try the codes listed for phillips TVs.... did they get the remote full price or the identical £2 ebay one.0

Technika is not a 'make', it's just a Tesco brand-the TV's are sourced from numerous panel suppliers, which is why spares or repairs are rarely possible with these. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I wil, try the Philips ones tonight and see what happens.
They bought the "genuine" remote when Halfords were selling off their age concern products a month or so ago.0 -
Perhaps you should complain to the makers about their use of the word "universal"?0
