Tesco Vouchers

It may just be me but the number of times a voucher gets declined at the till when you have met the terms and conditions seems to have got greater in recent times.
Typically these vouchers are not for great amounts of cash or points but why oh why do you have to have a rejection, a row or a visit by a supervisor each time?
Yesterday I did the shop, gave them a voucher for all of £1. Was it in date? YES. Had I purchased the product concerned? YES.
All I got was the "computer says no" argument i.e. "It isn't valid" "The till won't accept it" It's not my fault" The supervisor arrived eventually and tried the same spiel but eventually conceded and put in some override code so mission accomplished but I don't appreciate being made to feel I am trying it on by all and sundry at the store. I don't suppose those waiting next in the queue thought it was a bundle of laughs either.
They then got their revenge by "forgetting" green club card points but making another fuss about 7p or queueing up at customer services was too much. Maybe I should try Waitrose!

i usually make an effort to go the younger members of stall working the tills at tesco, they aren't bothered by vouchers or anything, so if i've got lots to scan, they will usually try typing codes in etc before calling another member of stall if they wont scan.
i usually make the effort to sort them out before i go out shopping so i know exactly what to put in my trolley, and they can just scan the vouchers.
don't be put off by the workers, the elder staff act like it's "their" store and a 50p voucher off something is meticulously looked at by them! it's an absolute pain! but the £1 you save feels like a great achievement! the most i've used in vouchers was around £14 and i felt so good about it!

Sadly my Mum is addicted to a branch where I could swear I haven't had a working voucher in years - the six extra small money-off or 25 points vouchers you get every quarter, for 18 months, in that particular store, they never worked and you'd have to factor in up to an extra half hour to queue up at Customer Services to get whatever was on offer.
Ah yes Green Clubcard theft, I thought I was the only one - that branch and one near to me, I've had staff lie to my face about having added them, so I always check my receipt and get them later at Customer Services as well. Pathetic compared to Sainsburys where you get your recycling point(s), no fuss, and they actually ask you how many bags you've used.
To be fair though, Tesco does have the comments section mentioned at the bottom of every receipt, put in a complaint if it just keeps happening all the time otherwise it won't get any better. It's the one upside of having so many branches though, if the staff are crap in one, you just go a bit further down the road to the next.0
