im looking to start driving lessons in about a month or two.
was just wondering if anyone could advise the most economical way of going about it, the pros and cons of private/big companies/ ball park figure of how many lessons it could take/ if there are advantages to intensive courses
you get the drift
Glad you bumped thread. All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
nice to know it helped.
right, well BSM's advertised price (this is before student discount - am waiting for someone to get back to me about that one) for a block of 30 lessons is £539.70 ((£17.99 per lesson, a saving of £60 compared to paying for each lesson individually).
whilst a local independent school whose leaflet i got given in with my license application form are offering £290 for a block of 30 lessons (a saving of £30 on price per lesson, a cost of £9.99 per lesson).
being something of a novice here....
are bsm's prices just through the roof, is the local indepent's offer too good to be true?
your expert advice is much appreciatedknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
as an afterthought....
some ballpark mathematics - if bsm give say 10%s tudent discount, i'd save about £54, giving a total of £485.7 for 30 lessons , or a slightly healthier £16.19 per lesson.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
The independent is real, real cheap. When I first had driving lessons 9 years ago it cost me £12.50 per lesson with CIA. I would do research on the company before going for them, if they have good feedbacks then go with them. If not, it ain worth it as you would be forking out £300. The standard price for BSM is over the roof at approx £22 per lesson, £16 per lessons is very good. They charge the higher end prices because they can get away with it being a biggest brand company.0
