Paid for ticket but didn't register

I received a ticket for overstaying in a council car park. I had paid for 2 hours parking but ticket only registered that I'd paid for 1 hour. I know I paid the correct amount. I am challenging but does anyone have any experience of this and the result of challenge???
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

First thing, this is a council car park so you should not ignore it, this is a real PCN.

The next thing you do is register on PePiPoo and start a new thread here - http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

You need to post up a picture of your car park ticket and also a copy of your PCN, front and back, but with the car registration and any council reference 'washed' out, but leave times and locations visible.

First question, you say you paid the correct amount but I assume your ticket only shows the amount to cover 1 hour and not 2? This could be a hard one because if the money has just dropped through the machine then you probably haven't paid, even though you think you have!
