Hello,
My wifey recently got a new job and her pay date has changed so we have rang around direct debit bods and all are changed bar one, Adams.
Wifey has a Adams Credit Card for years. She rang the number on the back to find out this number no longer existed so she jumped online and after a large search she discovered the where bought out by A N Other company.
So she phoned them and was told them the ins and outs and all be it they where pleasant she was told that she cannot change the Direct Debt date as the card was bought out by themselves and the date will have to stay as it is.
Now this doesn't seem right to me?
Is this right?

Truth be told I'm rather a happy fellow deep down...and I mean really deep down.

It could be right.
Not every company has the mechanisms for changing DDs around easily, or would prefer the hassle of not doing so.0 -
They can do this, but you can work around the problem by cancelling the direct debit yourself (and informing the new company of course) and then requesting a new direct debit to be setup.0

Maybe, Maybe not. I second these comments posted above. Every company cannot change DDs and most prefer not to. You may also cancel it yourself, and request a new DD be set up. I would also suggest you consult an attorney or a financial advisor, for there may be legal hassles lying further. 0
