Good Morning.
Turned on computer today, 4 emails arrived OK, tried to send some out & got the following error message. Have turned computer off & on. Internet connection working fine.
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'finance', Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 Invalid Smtp line - Should end with CRLF', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Has anyone any idea how I can sort this out?
Many thanks.

Wait until BT sort out their problems with their mail servers.
Look on their home page for any status updates regarding mail issues.0 -
Thanks SG, status is fine, but I'm being told I have an incompatible browser. Funny, everything was fine till this morning & I've changed nothing?
When you say wait for BT to sort out their mail servers, do you mean that in general there is a problem or a specific problem atm?"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
The browser may have run an auto update
You could try Palemoon, which will run most Firefox add ons
