No not the whole thing.
just a heads up this is a grabbit but a very generic unspecific one.
One of my locals st helens store in merseyside is closing on the 23rd of this month as the store is moving down the way a bit to a new site by the rugby stadium, and it is apparently massive-bigger than prescot for those that frequent there this means that there should be a plethora of bargains in the final week of trading hopefully, price guy i was talking to today said nothing from this store will be going over to the new location, nothing, so it should mean silly prices on fresh and frozen goods as they will be the hardest to move to other stores in a timeframe, all unsold stock that isnt perishable will be transferred to other units so fingers crossed they do their best to get rid of everything.
16th to the 23rd should be a mega week for us down here.

OMg that's my store as well, yet i was told different, all of the staff have been going to prescott, for training, as it's a bigger store.
Then i was told that they have 3 days to transfer over all of the stock to the new store, i was told this by the blonde lady on customer services, when i asked did they have a product in the back, she said the store room, was virtually bare already.
plus this new store is going to be massive..................but even better will be the stadium nextdoor.0 -
When they moved our Tesco there were hardly any bargains apart from the seasonal stuff they were going to reduce anyway, a few scraps out the stock room and the fresh fruit, veg and meat on the last afternoon. Really not worth bothering about. On the other hand the first month at the new store was fantastic for Whoopsies as they hadn't quite got their stock control sorted out and were overstocking left, right and centre.Val.0

this is my local aswell, but i usually go to prescot as i find the staff at st.helens rather rude! hopefully when they move they employ nicer staff.0

when our local store closed it had no bargains at all. all the stock was moved to the new storelife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

I'm in St. Helens as well - I didn't realise that the town centre store was closing so soon. I haven't heard a date for the new one to open. I do pop in sometimes, but I tend to prefer Haydock as it is quieter. I'll definitely pop into the town centre branch over the next couple of weeks though.0

This is my local store too so thanks for the heads up OP and here's hoping for a bargain or two. Agrre that Haydock store friendly and alsways quiet - and they have Click and Collect! Looking forward to having the new store although the bridge won't be ready for a while so it will be awkward when I'm parked in town and want to nip to Tesco for a few bits.0

Thanks Op. I normally frequent Prescot a lot, but this is just next junction along. I also found a lot of trouts in St Helens store.0

Oh well if they have had training from Prescot, then expect them to have major attitude problems. I was wondering why they had a whole heap of staff in there the other week stacking shelves in their own clothes. I have never been in a tesco like Prescot its a dump and the staff are so rude.If it's cheap I Like it. If its Free I love it!0
