Hi all,
I have a licensed version of MS Office 2003 which I want to keep and re-install after doing a fresh XP re-install but I'm unsure how to go about it. The software was originally provided to me by a late friend of mine many years ago via a zip download from his ftp site but I no longer have that option available to me.
If I save the Microsoft Office folder to my external HDD will I be able to re-install it from that or not? The zip file was self-extracting and installed the whole suite in one go, but I don't see any such file in any of the folders within the MS Office folder so how would I go about doing that?
I specifically want to keep my MS Office 2003 and not update to the current version of Office, nor do I wish to transfer to OpenOffice.
Please help. Thanks.

Did you keep the .zip file?
In Explorer, right-click on C:, select Search, and enter "*.zip" in the file name box (no quotes).
See what comes back, and look for the .zip file you had originally0 -

Unfortunately not. I probably saved it on the desktop and installed from there then deleted it after. And of course no hope of it being in recycle bin after all this time.
Any ideas?0 -
I think you're goosed.
Go on eBay for a second-hand copy.0 -

With you now. It's Pro.
It's actually Access 2003 that I need to keep the most as that is what my daily work is done with, also Publisher. The rest I can live without and use OpenOffice if necessary, but ideally I want to stay with what I'm using currently.0 -
Which programs are included in the Suite?
If it wasn't important, I wouldn't be asking. Do you think that I am here to find conversation?
Aye, sorry. I know exactly what you meant now but it didn't twig at the time, I thought you were wanting a version number or something, not which level of suite.
