Estate Agent Has Put Property Back On Market

It shouldn't be a difficult answer from the Vendor, either they can do it or they can't, they must be really on the breadline if they can't afford to knock the money off, or they could just be playing a game.
This is really where a good agent steps in, and goes bang, bang to all parties to get a resolution sorted so you can move forward.0 -
............My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say

I agree. I have a feeling the EA is playing a game. My initial reaction through anger was to call them and make some kind of threats about pulling out, but didn't want to make any hasty decisions hence my thread here! I think the best thing to do is see what happens, as the EA says that he hopes the finances will be sorted out. He claims the old lady at the top of the chain is looking at this cheaper flat tomorrow, so maybe I should hold fire.
To be honest, it's not the wait on the renegotiation that I'm angry about, it's the house being back on the market and the lies the EA has told me that it would be taken down again. We want it back off the market and the advice I'm really looking for is what, if anything, to do about it.0 -

Get it from the horses mouth.
I have done, as I have stated here if you take the time to read my posts properly. The problem I have asked about is how to play it with the fact that I have been told that they would take the property back off the market twice but they still have not. Our offer was accepted subject to survey and the house being taken off the market. They have put it back on behind our back and despite their assurances otherwise still have not taken it down. We have acted in good faith throughout and are not happy about their behaviour. We do not want to be gazumped which is why our offer was accepted subject to it being taken off the market and why we are angry now that they have put it back on and are lying to us about taking it off.0 -

Sorry, you quoted me before I had time to remove post and before I realised that initial question had been answered so no need to be rude.
I was going to help but I shan't bother now.My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. Unfortunately you can't make them take the property off the market, they will be acting on the vendors instructions anyway.
If you are worrying about being gazumped, that could happen anytime upto exchange anyway, whether house is showing as available or not. Old viewer from weeks ago could call up out of the blue with an offer, someone might knock on vendors door, all highly unlikely but possible.
Its more than likely the property is back on the market, that if they get any enquiries, they just hold the name and number, and then call them if you don't proceed.0 -

I only replied to your rude original post and all I did was state the very reason you ended up editing it... It's not my fault you hadn't read the replies to start with.
I have just spoken to the EA again, and according to them it takes overnight for it to come off and they have assured me for a third time that it will come off.0 -

Ok, thanks for your opinion and everyone else who offered friendly advice
Let's see if it comes off the market tomorrow... 0 -
to be honest, they must be desperate because if id been the seller and you rang me up sounding angry and threatening to pull out
I'd have told you to do one. I know it would be cutting my nose off to spite my face but that's just me and when you'd calmed down
you would be feeling pretty eggy faced especially if they were empty threats.
Then where would you be.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Fingers crossed for you.0
