Last time we were in Castle Court, there was a stall on the ground floor that was selling them? Unsure if that is of use to you?0

Best cupcakes in Belfast are from "The Little Cupcake Cafe" on Bedford Street just across from City Hall. They normally have around 8 different varieties every day, ranging from Vanilla & Marshmallow, Lemon & Blueberry, to Malteaser or Bounty! They also normally have a gluten free cupcake, which are normally glittery and girly.
They do custom made also if you want to order them for a specific occasion. They really are fabulous and I would totally recommend them.
Thought I'd add the link inhttp://thelittlecupcakecafe.co.uk/default.aspx

In my day, it would have been called "a bun".0

Cupcakes are not good for you as they have too much sugar.
Spam is healthier for you as it contains less sugar!!0 -
J bird on bloomfield Avenue is delicous.
they do seasonal themed flavours too. I noticed that they have candy apple ones in atm.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0 -
I'm with Gillyx on the cupcake shop on Bedford Street - my workmates got me an Elmo one for my birthday from there and we have used them loads for other work birthdays.
I was also in Avoca the other day and see they are doing 6 cupcakes boxed to take away for about £5.85. Haven't tried them so not sure how good they are....0 -
I can recommend the Little Cup Cake Cafe in Bedford street too, I have bought individual with coffee, sets of 6 and sets of 12 for parties and a beautiful cake for a birthday. All were amazing, a variety of flavours and toppings. Very nice ladies to go into and they have a facebook page with regular updates on what flavours available every day.. addicted.. no lol0

Cup Cake Cafe in Bedford Street not very MSE though guys.
Only time I bought cakes she even charged me extra for the box - that was £9 for the 6 cupcakes and nearly a £1 for the box to put them in.
The cakes were gorgeous but think people should know the cost before they get there!0 -

In MSE-spirit - make your own! Cupcakes can be frozen (tend to be better if you freeze without icing/frosting though) so make a batch and stick the spare in the freezer for the next time you fancy a treat. For £10 you could make dozens of cupcakes and still have leftover ingredients.
I made a few recipes from the Piece Of Cake blog when I brought cakes into work the other month and they were a huge hit. This cupcake recipe would be very versatile in terms of picking whatever frosting/topping you fancied - the caramel was yummy but the cupcake would still be delicious with a plain buttercream, chocolate ganache, or even just on its own (slightly warm, fresh from the oven...mmm!)

(the buttermilk does seem to make a difference but if you can't find it or don't want to splurge, you can make a buttermilk substitute with a cup of regular milk and a tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar - allow to stand for 5 mins before using)0
