Receiving Freeview through a Sky Dish

Hi guys,
We have two aerials on our roof, both of which seem to be pretty knackered. The previous owner had a Sky (or similar) dish installed which he received his telly through. Unfortunately I work too long a day to take advantage of a sky subscription, anyone know of anything I can plug into the dish to get freeview channels?

Thanks in advance.

A sky dish is able to recieve all freeview channels just like a freeview box.

You would need a SKY box to do that, its not like you can plug the dish into a freeview box and have it act as an antenna

    Unfortunately, that's not quite true.
Freesat from Sky is sometimes promoted in the media as an alternative to the Freeview terrestrial digital service which 25 per cent of the population are unable to receive. Sky coverage is publicised as 98 per cent. However, some channels broadcast on Freeview are subscription-only on Sky, most notably Channel 4 offshoots E4 and More4. This appears to be due to a contract which does not expire until 2008 and which has caused much confusion and resentment amongst viewers [1]. However, Channel 4 appears to be committed to eventually making all of its channels free-to-air with FilmFour being available on Freesat since July 2006 [2]. On the other hand, Freesat from Sky carries a number of channels not available on Freeview such as CNN International, EuroNews, Al Jazeera English, Travel Channel (UK), Men & Motors, all the regional services of the BBC and ITV and S4C Digidol outside of Wales. Freesat also carries most of the radio stations carried by Freeview, except for 3C.
