Convert TIFF files to JPEG

My brother has saved some photo images to a disc for me which I was hoping to print out as photos. However, when i've tried to upload to snapfish I can't as images are saved as TIFF files. Does anyone know how to convert these to JPEG free and easily? I've googled it and tried to download a couple of programs but it then turns out you need to pay to use them. Any help appreciated.

Irfanview will do this if you do not already have a programme, the plug ins are worth getting
