Egg Loan and The FOS Adjudicator

Dear All,
I'm after a bit of advice. I contacted Egg about PPI on my loan back in July 2010 but they were more than unhelpful and wouldn't even give me a final response (even though I had followed procedures) therefore I had no other option but to take the matter to the FOS in October 2010.
The Adjudicator contacted me in early July 2011 to answer a few questions. What seems to be holding the matter up is Egg saying that they have no recorded record of me talking to the sales rep and me telling them that I did not need PPI. We are now in October and I have not heard from either the adjudicator or Egg.
Should I contact the adjudicator or leave it be as I am aware that they are very busy. It seems to be taking forever, and it's not exactly a large amount of money that I claiming back.
Many Thanks!
