Parking Ticket

I have just been clamped for not paying a parking ticket.

I sent a letter contesting the ticket a few months back and have not heard anything back until this clamp.

Has anyone been in this situation or know what can be done ( if anything)

Any help would be great.

Was the 'ticket' issued by a local authority or a private company?

The ticket was done by the council parking attendant.
He advised me to write in and it would be the same as it stated on his handheld device and then I would get off. I did this and have had not letters since.
