What to do with my wedding fund??

Hi guys

Don't know if I'm posting this in the right place?? Anyhow...was wondering if you could help me with this. I am getting married in August 2008 and whilst there's plenty of time to prepare and save, obviously its gonna hit the pocket hard!!

My fiancee's mother is kindly giving us £2000 to help towards costs and I was wondering how to manage it and the other money we are to 'invest' in our special day. I was thinking of putting it in a Cash ISA in order to benefit from the higher interest rates (as we will only be putting down minimal deposits for now and paying balances nearer the day). However, not knowing much about this, I don't know if it offers the kind of flexibility we need for our purposes. I.e. can we withdraw as and when without notice or penalty and can we deposit as and when to add to the existing nest egg? Would we be better with an ISA or a regular savings account or something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
