Training Grants for the Self Employed

Posted this on another board, getting nowhere....
I'm a self-emplyed Accountant and training towards Chartered Status. This year 2007 my total bill for various courses etc will be close to £2000. I was wondering if anybody knows of any grants, etc, I could apply for or anything I could claim towards this cost.
Have two pre-school age children, working partner on good salary, made a loss last tax year as only worked part of it, due to make small profit this year. Pay for all my own training full whack, no fee reduction.
Help!
