The wife has a samsung galaxy S or something.... she wants to put groups of apps into folders in the app menu but it doesn't seem possible....
Can it only be done on the home page or is there a way of doing it in the app menu?
Thanks...

Hm! I have a Galaxy S2 and use the GO launcher Ex app instead which replaces the normal standard Samsung launcher screens.
At the bottom you have the 'dock bar' (normal Samsung dock bar includes Phone, Contacts, Messaging & Applications) where you can change to whatever you wish including folders with whatever apps you want in it & swipe it to include more then the standard 4.
Hope this kinda helps?Do I Need It ? .......... Do I Want It? .......... What Will Happen If I Don't Buy It? .......... I'm So Confused I Need Help!0 -

No idea if it can be done with the standard launcher, but it's certainly possible with 3rd party ones - I use Go Launcher EX too
(it's great and it's free) and do have all my apps sorted in folders in the apps drawer.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -

Seems a bit of a failing IMHO that you have to download a 3rd party app to organise your apps...:wall:

Shame.
Not really, that's the point of Android, it's supposed to be customisable with third party apps.
With iPhone it's "we do it like this and tough tits if you don't like it" but with Android it's "we do it like this but if you don't like it, feel free to change it"0 -

She could emulate the iPhone way of doing it by creating some folders on a home screen (long press on an empty space -> folders -> Add new folder) and then she can drag and drop the apps she wants in each folder out of the app drawer and into the folder (they'll still be in the app drawer though). As far as I know, that's the closest you'll get without a 3rd party app0 -
