    Hi

Just to say I am in the same boat as you.
Recently started ebay and so far, foreign bidders have not won anything, much to my relief. I don't even know how they were bidding.

Today somebody has won and paid for a heavy large object to be sent via courier. I am looking to see what's what. Some folk say 'company x' is great, then somebody will say they are poor.

I don't want the delivery to be attempted overseas and the person is out .. I understand some couriers then charge the sender for a wasted journey.

I am watching for your replies too

    Regards !

Have you set your 'buyer preferences' and 'countries I don't post to' in your Site Preferences?

Initially I set to UK only. Then a buyer from Belgium asked if he could bid on a small item. OK I said and remove the blocking .. at least I thought I had. He couldn't bid, He sent a few messages but I was out when the auction ended. When i told him it was a genuine error, he was understanding.

I then decided to leave everything open, but now just ship to UK, but another item, my heavies and biggest yet has just been sold, to another Belgium chap.

I asked a couple of days ago on another thread, but at the time, he hadn't paid yet.

Basiclly you send it Airmail through Royal Mail, who pass it on to USPS (the United States Postal Service, so basically buyer is saying through the PO and not a courier) once the item reaches the states. Just take it to the Post Office who will weigh it and charge the correct price. You can also weigh it yourself and look up the airmail prices online.

Sounds like another american thinking the world begins and ends there ;)
