    as far as the log goes, ctfmon, qttask, and several others running at startup you don't need..all the belkin wifi carp (let windows manage your wifi connections, if needs be uninstall the beklkin sw, and the adapter, then let windows reboot and reinstall just the device and it's drivers)...digital line detect...

    try sorting those out and post a fresh log, it'll be easier to see the rest of any carp left :)
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • The Belkin wifi stuff i need as its the only way for me to connect to the internet - there is no internal wifi just a usb that connects to me router.

    How does this look now then

    have you had an infection/browser hijack?

    Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1
    !!
    > . !!!! ----> .
  • Not that i have ever experienced. I regularly run CCleaner and Mbam all the time to keep it as clean as i can. This is probably another left over from the bloody toolbar - which completely took over using google - no matter how many times i tried to change the settings.

    Shall i delete then?
