I have a Panasonic Viera tv. its just over 2 years old.
Its been working fine, but this morning i have tried to turn it on, but when pressing the on button, im getting a flashing green light and a clicking sound - obciously its not turning on.
What could this be? Im guessing im going to need someone to look at it, but didnt know if this has happened to anyone else who might have a remedy or know how much it might cost!
Thanks for any help x

It sounds like the transformer may have packed in (assuming it's a CRT and not flat screen).
It's a farily straightforward job but not for the faint-hearted because of the voltages involved.
Lots of places do free quotes for this sort of work and, providing it is the transformer, it should be around £90 for parts and labour.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Thanks, the TV is a flat screen - does that make it a different/more expensive problem?0 -
It may be the same problem, but I've never worked on a flat-screen so I couldn't be sure.
It may also be the power button that's had it.
Again, I'd get it looked at professionally.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

No problem.
If it is the transfomer then my original estimate shouldn't be too far out, the button should be a lot cheaper.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
