When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

I've just noticed the part about charging your mobile at work has been removed from our opening paragraph?? When did that happen?!;)

Ok - here we are with another week. I must get a move on - still sat with wet hair in my dressing gown and I need to go at 8.10.

Hope you all had lovely weekends...busy or relaxing, whatever you wanted:D Quiet here - suits me.

Rightyho, time for my list:
  • check banking - moved ebay money that arrived:beer:
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • meal from plan tonight-chicken chow mein
  • chicken is defrosting
  • few groceries from local shop - just enough for the week until I go to T's on Friday
  • check ebay listings and get a few more things on there
  • recycling/rubbish out - sneaking a bit of 'big rubbish' in every week, save me taking it to the tip:D
  • washing off airer and put away
Ok, that's my lot - have a lovely old day:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Hi everyone. Thanks Pixie for starting the thread.
Yargo, hope your tyre and boiler can be sorted inexpensively

Been working away in Germany for a while. Back in the UK this week, but still working away. In York at the moment.

    Today I have/will
Showered using toiletries from recent hotel stay
Free street parking at local station
Free coffee, water and newspapers courtesy of my friend in the first class lounge at main line station
Lunch and dinner on expenses, stocked up on as much as I could with my lunch allowance at Mr T's, then ate as little as possible, so will take the rest home for the kids (and clubcard points too).
    Charged phones on the train
    Checked online banking
Made small payments towards two credit cards
    Updated signature

Think thats about it for now. Have a great day everyone
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done
