Anything wrong in a combined bill?

Hi,
EDF have suggested that I combine gas and electricity onto one bill.
Is there anything wrong with this?
Could it cause any issues with moving away maybe to different suppliers in the future?
Always sceptical when any company wishes to combine bills hence the question.

There are pros and cons depending on your view point and how you pay:
Pros
1) One bill to post - more environmentally friendly
2) One DD to manage
3) Only 4 bills a year to check rather than 8
4) Dual fuel tariffs are typically cheaper
Cons
1) Larger DD which may be an issue if you are paid weekly
2) Larger bills if you pay on bill

Thanks.
We are already on a dual fuel tariff, but get two bills.0 -
EDF's billing and account system is pretty abysmal anyway. Might as well cut it down to just one bill for both fuels. Gives them less of an opportunity to screw it up. No problem with changing supplier, even if the changever takes place on different days for each fuel, which it usually does.
Edit:
Only drawback if you have a working billing system now is that it may not work very well after EDF combine them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Read this post from someone who has made the change to a single bill

I have recently joined EDF on dual fuel and unlike some others they gave me 2 account numbers. I have no intention of voluntarily changing to a single bill as so far I do not seem to have had the DD problems others on single account numbers have had.
But like has been said on other threads I have not entered any meter readings apart from the initial one on go live day.0 -

It did for me when moving away from scottish power as they issued separate final gas and elec bills and it was more diffcult to check them as they didn't follow on from previous bill in terms of credit ( they spit credit into gas and elec).0
