Hi all, I have just had my flight from liverpool cancelled due to the storms but was only told when I got to the airport. Does anyone know if I'm entitled to compensation with this new EU directive ? Or does an act of god not get included in this directive ?
The Firday flight was fully booked so I had to go for Saturday instead ! Obviously no extra charge
Thanks in advance for your help

I am sure act of god is listed as a get out clause. But give it a go. Call them not there mega bucks number, there is another listed on the forum or try 0870.
We did this a few months ago. Flight from Edinburgh got cancelled they paid up straight away just from 1 phone call. Just say I would like to receive the 200 euros which I think it is compensation for a cancelled flight. Have a good search on the forum first to get all the facts and figures right. You have got nothing to lose.0 -
I think you find they will say it was not within their control.
Still, it's a better outcome than flying in dangerous conditions.0 -
um - especially seeing that plane struggling to take off on the 10 o'clock news tonight.0

You are not entitled to compensation because of the weather.
However your travel insurance may cover you for a delay if it was a significant amount of time.0 -
CM my friend, try contacting them via this number: 01582 700036
Check the links below for a better idea and if you have an insurance policy try contacting them as you can claim on some policies for cancellation inconvenience
