first direct credit card - gold and standard

Options
Anyone got a fd gold or standard credit card?

See there is mention of offers coming through in your monthly statements? Are these any good and is there any good reason to take up one of these cards? Have seen the offerings on their site regarding the offers mentioned. None of them seem particularly attractive I have to say.

Offers are usually very poor and easily bettered elsewhere. FD are not an especially good card and never offer any decent balance transfer deals.

I agree with the above; cancelled mine a while ago after a reasonable stooze which is no longer an option.
  • Fine, thanks for that. Thought that there might've been more on offer than listed on their site but obviously not. Cheers.

DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD< STAY DEBT FREE

    I WAS LIKE YOU NO HISTORY>NOW I HAVE PLENTY>

The bank will give you a big overdraft to start with.
You go into and slowly you get to the limit.
Then you get a loan to pay it off.

Then you think you need a credit card, when you don't.....
    Things steadily fall apart
You then get another loan to pay the credit card off.

It's my own fault I should have seen it coming.
I think some banks very readily dish credit out at the start. Very little help is given well things go wrong.

Iam quite mad at my bank, offering me in the first place.

Iam very sad at the moment and can't seem to get rid of my credit card debt.
