Can she stop her wages going in to that account? Ask her employer if they can pay her by cheque this month? or into your account or a parents account maybe until she has a new account set up? If she does this Monday she might be in time.

Aside from that its back to trying to get the money withdrawn first before they get to it.

i said for her to get it paid into my account but she dnt think they will, i will make her ask tomorrow and see what they say !
  • Depends on who she works for - my work (and many) are only able to pay to a bank account in the employee's name.

I realise things are very difficult but please do everything you can to get rid of it ASAP and never, ever be tempted by one again - they're just not worth it (believe me, I do know what I'm talking about).

If I was ever in the situation again (and have been very close), I honestly would rather eat plain value rice (which is awful!) for a month than borrow money from a pdl company ever again. It's just a total nightmare roundabout to try to dig your way out of.

I'd guess her employer may well not process payroll until Tuesday. Maybe she could say to them that someone has hacked her account or card or something and she's worried she will lose the money if they pay it into that account - if that would make her more comfortable in asking.
I'd have thought most employers would agree to pay by cheque in that situation.

they stop after about 60 days then transfer it debt collectors.. by which time you will owe a fortune..
do all you can to get rid of them..

Aren't wonga 1% per day not compounded - so the interest is capped at 60% (not the vast amounts that doorstep lenders can accrue). Not sure what charges get applied after that.
  • phone wonga and explain the situation. I phoned them and explained mine and they froze my account and the interest for 38 days whilst I sort out my debt management plan with payplan.

I was on the phone with the girl for 4 minutes although took a while to get through to them. They were very understanding as the others I owe money to have been so far.

Some payday lenders will understand your situaton, and agree a repayment plan with you to avoid you going into a DMP (which will likely result in them getting less money back from you, or at least it will take longer).

I have replayment plans in place for my payday loans - most of them three monthly installments to clear the balance. They will all be clear by December thank goodness. Essentially, do wahtever you can to get the money paid back in full asap, and NEVER take one of these out again.
