    The agreement was taken out in the second week of April 2010
    It's hire purchase, so as such you should have the right to voluntarily terminate the agreement and return the goods. If you do this before half of the premiums have been paid you will be liable for the surplus of what you would've needed to pay to get it up to half, but if it's after providing there's no hidden charges and you've looked after the goods then you shouldn't have to pay any more.

    Looks like you can return the goods with no more to pay. Write to them and ask them to confirm this and ask for a return date.

  • waiting for area manager to come out, women on phone said he might just offer a reduced payment, but no doubt that would terminate existing contract and start with a new one more like and back to square one

    Hand it back and chalk it up to experience. Expensive mistake to make but these threads do a good job of highlighting just how unpalateable these companies are. Good on you for keeping the paperwork, don't let them try to silvertongue their way into any other arrangement.

    I think you are correct they re write the contract and you start again leaving you worse of

  • The bayv rep came out with the paperwork to cancel the agreement and return the item, no more money to pay and no questions asked.
    Have i done the right thing or have i made things to easy for bayv?
