memory foam mattress

:D Hi all out there in cold wet and very windy norn iron, can anyone help with a cheap place to buy a memory foam/ sprung mattress, have been out shopping all day pricing them and the prices vary so much from the expensive to the astronomical. I know you get what you pay for and know its going to cost but I draw the line at what I will pay so does anyone know a reasonably priced place to buy these from, I would be eternally grateful , thanks:D

The ideal world shopping channel was selling memory foam mattresses last week, had single, double and king size the prices were quite reasonable.

I have bought a few things in the past from them and usual delivery straight to the door in under 5 days.

try Freeview channel 22 or the website at:

  • I paid £450 for one recently - didn't want to go too cheap as I was working on the grounds, like you, that you get what you pay for.

I don't know from your post how much you are prepared to pay, but its honestly the best £450 I have ever spent. I have not slept well for a very, very long time, but I've slept like a baby since getting this mattress. I wouldn't have believed what a difference it could make.
  • Have a look at this site -

    http://www.mattressman.co.uk

And select your size then memory foam fillings to narrow it down.

I have used this company in the past and will definitely again. They offer free delivery to N. Ireland and while UK mainland delivery is next day they phoned me to apologise, that my mattress would take 2 days to deliver. I found them to be the cheapest and cannot fault in any way.

  • You can get those memory foam toppers from £80 (for a single bed) in Dunelm Mill on the Boucher Road... http://www.dunelm-mill.com Maybe not entirely what you're looking for, but worth considering.

I got one of the memory foam pillows from here for Christmas -- absolutely fantastic!!!!

I shopped around a bit in Jan sales and found the bed shed on the Boucher Road was by far the cheapest. Dreams were quoting the same amount for a mattress that the Bed Shed were quoting for a bed and a mattress

  • ikea is cheap for such matresses, and they are excellent
  • For memory foam mattresses i bought one from www.bedstar.co.uk. They recommended one called the visco star which has 5cm of memory foam. I paid £205 for a single and it's the best thing i ever bought. No more back pain in the morning!!

I hope you haven't bought one???

I get 100's of enquiries for mattresses to replace Ikea mattresses that have prematurely worn out.......also their sizes aren't standard, so you end up having to pay more for a replacement mattress if you want to keep the Ikea bed.
